Diaphragm Valves Weir Type

We manufacture and supply all types of Diaphragm Valves Weir Type (S series or A series) which are designed to comply with British Standard BS 5156-1974. These valves were formerly referred to as "Saunders Patent-type" after P.K. Saunders, developer of the basic design. Our company supplies these valves in a variety of options depending upon customers specific requirements.

  • Long Life - Rugged design incorporating the best materials available is proved by years of maintenance-free operation.
  • Moving Parts Completely Enclosed - An indispensable requirement in chemical and process industries. Eliminates malfunction caused by atmospheric corrosion of exposed parts.
  • Large Area Moulded Actuator Diaphragm - Capable of high seating thrust and is virtually maintenance-free. Closure not dependent upon springs, which only exert minimum force when valve is in closed position.
  • Cast Iron Diaphragm Housing - Extra heavy casting affords high resistance to atmospheric corrosion.
  • Space Saving Design - Compact construction throughout allows for economical piping arrangements. Overall dimensions reduced to absolute minimum.

  • Streamlined Flow - Streamlined flow passage of the valve body is free of pockets, grooves or other crevices, assuring full flow efficiency and self-cleaning action.
  • Tight Shutt-off - Unique diaphragm and weir method of operation affords positive, leak proof closure.
  • No Stem Packing or Stuffing Box - Diaphragm seals off valve stem and other parts from the flow, eliminating the need for stem packing or stuffing box.
  • Simplified Construction - The valve body assembly has only three component parts; body, diaphragm and bonnet. Bonnet is adaptable to any comparable size and valve body regardless of body material.
  • Easy diaphragm Replacement - Installation of a new diaphragm is accomplished by simply removing the bonnet bolts, lifting off the bonnet assembly, replacing the diaphragm, and reassembling. It is not necessary to remove body from the line.
